You are all invited to a Counselor Information Meeting on Thursday, February 9th at 7pm in our Cafeteria. This meeting will be for those interested in being a counselor.
The meeting will provide information about counselor responsibilities, schedules, and at the end of the meeting you can sign up for interviews. We are looking to fill several positions.
This will be the only counselor information meeting for these positions and if you do not attend you will not get the opportunity to sign up for an interview.

Founded as an orphanage in 1910. David & Margaret Youth and Family Services have a proud tradition of serving children and families in need that stretches over a century. David & Margaret Youth and Family Services empowers children, youth, and families through culturally diverse services that foster emotional, educational, spiritual, and identity development.
We are currently seeking energetic, enthusiastic and motivated youth counselors for full-time openings. These positions offer excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k and more! Pay is between $9.25 and $12.19 plus training incentives.
Youth Counselors
Supervise, mentor, counsel, and transport group home youth.
Requirement:
Must have knowledge, skills, abilities, and motivation to mentor at-risk youth. Bachelor’s degree in social services from an accredited institution of higher learning is given preference or two years of college or high school diploma if accompanied by related experience. Must be able to work afternoons, evenings and every other weekend. Must have a valid driver’s license, a good DMV record and a clean criminal history.
Descriptions of Duties:
Counselors are very important members of the team concerned with residents, their well-being and daily living schedule. They must come to the position with a great amount of dedication, acceptance and understanding. It is important they have a good sense of humor and a great deal of "bounce back" due to the pressures of the work.
Counselors are expected to work closely with the Mental Health Department, are under the coordination/supervision of Case Managers and the Program Intervention Office and must adhere closely to agency rules and policy. No employee in the facility has a greater impact on the lives of our clients. They must conduct themselves at all times with dignity, self‑respect, and have high moral values. Mentor Counselor serve as the lead counselor in a campus cottage and has additional training and responsibilities with new staff. A Group Home Counselor provides supervision, protection and care of children placed in the off campus group home sites.
